Green gold, a taste of history and tradition
Liquidum aurum naturae
Growing the flavors of our land
The Poggio Foco farm cultivates 6 hectares of olive groves, the varieties on the farm are: leccino, frantoiano, maurino and caninese; they have an average age of about 30 years and lie on hilly soils rich in clay.
It is our intent to preserve the traditional Tuscan cultivation and olive cultivars typical of our area. Our olive groves are organically cultivated and harvesting is done exclusively by hand.
Cold pressing of freshly picked olives produces a superior quality oil. The particular position of the south-facing plots, on predominantly dry soils, allows us to obtain an oil that is rich in fragrance, with a lingering, smooth taste and notes reminiscent of green leaves and artichoke.
